Jan - July 2018 - Word on the Street: voluntary creative writing workshops for 'rough sleepers' in Brighton & Hove, in collaboration with authors Nicky Singer & Becky Whitney.
Feb 2018: Crewing & Casting for the premiere of THE GIFT OF THE GAB White Bear Theatre, London
Just completed the Get Out for 'THE ALBATROSS 3RD & MAIN' following our 3 week run at Emporium Brighton. The show was everything I'd hoped it might be, and I'd write/design/direct again like a shot. Sizzling performances from my great cast Geoff Aymer, Nicholas Boulton and Charlie Allen. Rave reviews and a lot of hard graft from al the support team helped us to build strong audiences. Samuel French have published the play text. Now just need that London transfer!
Oct 2015: As a long time member of the amazing Writers Guild of America west, I was very chuffed to be invited to join the ten strong UK branch committee. We may not have changed the world of UK WGAw scribes in our first meeting, but all the talk around the table was how we might do so for the better of all members in the future. More anon.
August 2015: 'THE ALBATROSS 3RD & MAIN' to premiere at Emporium Brighton Feb 2016
July 2015: Currently scribbling away on a new stand alone novel and casting for a table read of my new black comedy stage play 'The Albatross 3rd & Main'
May 2015: Excited to announce 'The Savage Kingdom Book II' manuscript now completed! Thrilled with how it's turned out, and my agent loves it too, so can't wait to unleash it.
Fantastic afternoon spent at my former school - Moulsecoomb, Brighton. Special thanks to Vicky Tremain of Brighton Library Services for the invitation, and to teachers Emily Griffith & Helen Sutcliffe. Class 5G were brilliant, great questions, sharp young minds.
Note: a number of readers who purchased my self-published limited edition 'Animalian' have asked whether The Savage Kingdom is the second part of the story. Please note that it is NOT. It's a tweaked, repackaged Book I. Book II will be published in 2016. Sincere apologies for the wait... I promise it'll be worth it though!
Once I have further details on the launch and book signings etc, I shall post the info here, so do check back. :-)
